DRAWING FOR IMPROVERS day school

Drawing is the key to most art practice: it develops your hand/eye co-ordination and observation, mark making, tonal and compositional skills! It is also extremely rewarding in its own right.

We will explore a range of drawing materials and techniques, such as the use of negative space, expressive mark making, light and shade, simple perspective, and mixed media, through a series of progressive group exercises and individual tuition.

You will each be encouraged to develop your own style and approach. Sunday morning will be spent drawing from a clothed model, and producing a finished piece in materials of your choice.
